::Local Information::

The workshop site is the Faculty of Informatics (Facultad de Informática) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid is a 20 minutes walk from metro (line 6) station Ciudad Universitaria. We recommend to take bus G at the metro exit or in Moncloa. For the location of the conference venue see the Map of the University Campus (situation map).

  • The reception desk will be situated near the Sala de Grados (First floor), from 08:45 to 9:30 of  Wednesday 23.
  • All workshop sessions will be held at the Sala de Grados (First floor).
  • Lunches will be served at the Cafeteria de Personal (Ground floor).

Airport of Madrid-Barajas

The international airport Madrid-Barajas is located 12 km east of Madrid. There are 4 terminals:

·         Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (T1, T2 and T3) are colocated and can be reached by metro with the underground station "Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3" (line 8), as well as bus line 200 which goes from terminals T1, T2, and T3 to "Avenida de América" metro station.

·         The new terminal 4 (T4 and its satellite T4S) is used by Iberia and other airlines. It can be reached also by metro with the underground station "Aeropuerto T4" (line 8). Bus line 204 goes from terminal T4 to "Avenida de América".

If you take a taxi, the initial fare is 2,05 € and the supplementary fare for trips from/to the airport is 5,5 €. There is no extra charge for luggage. The taxi tariff, shown in the taximeter, is "1" (0,98 €/km) Monday through Friday from 6 am to 10 pm, or "2" (1,15 €/km) at nights from 10 pm to 6 am, weekends, and holidays. All the hotels are well situated for reaching the University Campus, specially
Hotel Tirol, Hotel Husa Moncloa, and Hotel NH Alberto Aguilera are located close to the Metro (Underground) stop "Arguelles", two stops far (by Line 6) from "Ciudad Universitaria", the Metro stop closest to the Facultad de Informática, which can be reached from there either by Bus (G) or by foot (10mn aprox). See the situation map. Alternatively, one can take Bus G from "Moncloa" (5-10mn from Arguelles, by foot). Hotel AC Los Vascos and Hotel Jardin Metropolitano are near "Cuatro Caminos" and bus F stop.

Hotel Liabeny and Hotel Carlos V are closer to the city center. In this case, you can take the underground at station "Callao" (line 3).

::Tourist Information::

Madrid, the capital of Spain, is located in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula and has excellent air connections to and from most leading world cities. Madrid contains a wide range of sites of historic interest ranging from excellent museums (Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum) to the Royal Palace, the Madrid of the Austrias and the Monastery of the Royal Barefoot Franciscans. Many pleasant places can be visited in one day excursions. These include Toledo (70 km. southwest of Madrid), El Escorial (50 km. northwest of Madrid) and Segovia (87 km. northwest of Madrid).
